Sapphire consulting is a pro-bono student consulting group comprised solely of members of Alpha Kappa Psi at the University of Minnesota. Sapphire Consulting's mission statement is "To provide members of Alpha Kappa Psi the opportunity to interact with real business leaders and develop skills necessary for the future, while providing quality strategic business advice to the non-profit community."
Community service is one of the four pillars of AKPsi. As business students, we want to utilize our business skills and serve our community by advising non-profit organizations in the Twin Cities. While giving back to the community, students consulting for Sapphire gain valuable and relevant experience, allowing our members to excel among their peers in the area of project management. Alumni of our chapter serve as Associate Directors, advising the teams and providing quality assurance.
We seek semester-long projects in any of the following strategic business areas: Marketing, Finance, Operations, Human Resources, or Organizational Development. This semester our clients include The United Way, The Minnesota Daily, and The West Bank School of Music. If you are affiliated with a local non-profit organization that may be interested in working with Sapphire Consulting, please contact our Business Director. Contact information is given below.
